Episode 169: Chuck and Brad are Heroes

The podcast once again opens with Chuck and Brad shamelessly promoting their upcoming shows, including Chuck's birthday party/show at Fatt Squirrel (the old Century Lounge) on August 1st. Once that is done, the two start a new weekly segment - "Chuck and Brad are Heroes." Hear two thrilling tales of heroism in and around Providence! Brad then talks with Chuck about their dynamic, about approaching girls, about second fiddle syndrome, and how to stop mooning over a very pretty girl. It's a podcast that's really more about the relationship between our two heroic heroes than anything else. Enjoy!

Episode 168: The Story of Brian, Justin, and Survivors of the Kraken

The podcast opens with Chuck and Brad hyping their upcoming shows, including Chuck's birthday party/show at Fatt Squirrel (the old Century Lounge) on August 1st. Two visitors join the podcast this week - Brian Decoteaux and Justin Marra of Survivors of the Kraken. Chuck enlightens the newcomers with a few Movie Driplets concerning a Power Rangers movie, some Marvel speculation, and the upcoming Mark Hoppus/Matt Skiba punk rock album for children! Whoa mama!
The interview segment then kicks off with Brian and Justin discussing their formative years, the difficulties in setting a band lineup, a crazy situation involving a band break-up, and one or two jokes about Justin's incredible rage issues. It's a very fun and funny look at Survivors of the Kraken, as well as Justin Marra's solo project - catch them both on stage at AS220 on July 30th!

Episode 167: Bullying, Neighbors, 22 Jump Street, and Weird Al

The podcast opens with Chuck and Brad chatting and giving updates about their respective projects, including an upcoming solo show for Chuck in Boston with Kris Roe of the Ataris. Chuck then talks about the Senior Discount/Guttermouth show from June. Brad brings up an interesting dilemma he was faced with when he was visiting family in Indiana - how to handle playground bullies.
Personal matters aside, the guys move on to movies. First up, they review the Seth Rogen/Zac Efron comedy "Neighbors," which was very funny. After that, C&B discuss the documentary feature Bad Grandpa.5 - also very funny. Finally (movie-wise), they break down what made 22 Jump Street so very, very, very funny.
A project the guys designed and completed this summer is talked about (link below), and then they discuss their trip to Boston to see a WWE pay-per-view. Brad's birthday weekend N64 tournament was a success, then Chuck bookends the episode nicely by discussing another local show he had the good fortune to see.
