#409 - Chuck's Hellacious Wrestlemania Experience, Promposals, and The Trailer for Joker
Abe AND Dylan are with us this week! After we thank a sponsor, Chuck and I read an email and discuss a listener's not-so-great date. We then poke and prod at Dylan's plans regarding whether or not he's going to his high school prom. Chuck gives an update on his puppy and we're all in awe of the pup's cuteness. We talk about the new Joker trailer and Abe has to defend his stance on trailers. Somehow that leads to a discussion of theories about Avengers: Endgame, and we are still psyched. I talk about a mental health night I hosted with my church, then Chuck provides a (physical) health update in regards to allergies and his search for remedies. Chuck then tells us about his personal experience at this year's Wrestlemania, and spoiler alert - leaving the venue was not a great experience. After giving non-wrestling-fans the opportunity to tune out, we break down the whole show and talked about what worked and what didn't.

#375 - Chuck's Podcast Appearances and The Offspring/311 Live!
After a scintillating start to the show - talking about deals on digital streaming and pasta - we get into it. The past few weeks have been hectic for Chuck and we talk about some of the podcast appearances he's made. I call him out for some things left unsaid on his recent episode of The Mike Herrera Podcast! Wow! We talk about the Pat Oates Is Sad Podcast and how Chuck felt doing that (and why he didn't bring me any donuts). We recap our weeks and talk about Chuck joking around with his girlfriend's family and I am tickled by it. Our Summerslam experience is briefly touched on, then Chuck's day hanging out with his parents. We close with a pretty thorough discussion of the recent 311/The Offspring show in Hartford! Fun week!

Episode 326: Nazis, MoviePass, and We Get An NES Classic
In the wake of recent national news, Chuck and I start off this week by talking about Nazis and offer our official podcast stance on the subject. We talk more about the idea of racism in general and how we can help the country become a better place. I also swear in this segment (several times!). We then move on to a listener email, then ease into somewhat lighter fare with some news about the history of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Batfleck, and Gremlins 3. Chuck tells me about the new project from Jeff Tremaine and Patrick O'Dell, then we talk about the MoviePass service. For ten bucks a month, you can see one movie per day. What do we think? We then talk about the NES Classic and are finally able to give a hands-on review of the system. Chuck tells me about a recent trip to the restaurant Los Andes, then savagely and brutally picks apart my personality re: food (and life). We finish up by talking about our recent trips to see WWE wrestling live this week and talk about how much fun we had.

Episode 289: The Shining, Halloween Activities, and The Interrupters
Chuck and I dive right into talk about some stuff we did the week of Halloween. Chuck went to see "The Shining" in theaters and we break it down. He also watched the documentary Room 237 and we break THAT down. I know it's not cool to say about our own podcast, but I really enjoyed this conversation. Chuck relays tales from his exciting weekend to me, we talk about our trip to Boston to see WWE Hell in a Cell (in costume)!
We talk about Chuck's band Senior Discount opening for Strung Out, Hannibal Burress' new podcast, and the treasure trove of pop culture that arrived in mid-October: the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 teaser, the Nintendo Switch announcement, the Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer, the new Blink-182 video, and the trailer for Logan. Whoa mama! We also chat about some recent very entertaining issues of Spider-Man and Deadpool
We close this week by reviewing the recent show by The Interrupters at Brighton Music Hall in Boston. Also a fun conversation! I'm full of myself!

This episode starts out with me talking about my work burdens before we dive into the below Web Couliers. Chuck shares some movie driplets - one makes us glad, one makes us sad. We talk about the new Green Day album, Conor McGregor trash-talking the WWE roster, and podcast pal Brian Decoteaux's birthday gift to Chuck. From there, we break down the new movie Sausage Party and our thoughts on it - we say we're only going to do seven minutes' worth of spoiler-full talk, but it goes beyond that. We close the show talking about the fun night we had playing video games in a movie theatre with Lou and B Lau and then sign off!

Woohoo! Episode 261 y'all! After some quick updates, we announce the winner of our not-affiliated-with-anything Captain America: Civil War contest! Awesome! We somehow segue into more talk about Captain America: Civil War. We then break down the past week or so, which included StarFox Zero, two separate live wrestling events (WWE NXT + WWE RAW), and watching a movie in the theater in Chuck's apartment complex.
We then talk about Jerry Seinfeld's plan to help Margaret Cho get a second chance with an audience that didn't enjoy her set. Chuck talks about four podcasts he's listened to recently that he recently enjoyed. After that, we dip our tootsies into the conversation about cultural appropriation and really demonstrate our lack of understanding and call for clarity on the issues.

Episode 252: The Thrill of Pranking, Triple 9, and The Revenant
Brad manages to spit out the greeting without fouling it up this week and Chuck and Brad immediately discuss it. From there it's some Chuck and Brad updates before getting to the below Web Couliers. There is a tangent here. Maybe a tangent off of another tangent. Chuck provides some movie driplets about an R-rated cut for Batman v Superman as well as a sequel to "Surf's Up." Insanity. They discuss the recent accident involving Google's self-driving car before getting into some recaps of the past few weeks.
Chuck provides an update on the status of his house and possessions as recovery from the house fire continues, and Brad brings a little Christmas spirit into Chuck's life via a gift. The guys talk about their trip to DNB Burgers in New Bedford, Massachusetts, before recapping the open mic they performed at in February. Chuck recaps the recent Senior Discount show in Providence, then the guys review the new movie Triple 9. Was it an amazing cop drama? From there it's a brief discussion about moving friends Abe and Fawn into a new apartment, then a recap of Monday Night Raw and a review of new movie The Revenant? Okay...was THAT an amazing cop drama? They tease next week's episode before riding off into the sunset. Oh, and Chuck also has "donut burg" in his notes which both references a topic from the podcast AND the town he's elected himself mayor of.

Episode 251: Wrestlemania Predictions
*NOTE: BRAD HAS BEEN UNKILLED AFTER LAST WEEK'S ERROR*
The 251st entry into the Chuck and Brad library finds us joined by three local hooligans - Brian Decoteaux, Izzy Carmenatty, and Kyle Platt. The dudes are here to talk about wrestling and make some predictions for this year's Wrestlemania. Before they do, however, Brad relates an adorably sad story to the guys, much to their delight. From there, each man makes predictions for Wrestlemania, picking winners or matches as necessary - sometimes with accompanying reasons and fallout. Once they've all had a turn, they talk about fantasy booking, and discussing what they'd "like" to see from this year's event. SPOILER ALERT: This episode is worth it just for Chuck's fantasy booking. A little discussion about favorite Wrestlemanias, wrestlers, and Weezer albums closes out the show.

After that, the Deadpool stuff begins. They talk about the origin of the character in the comics, their first encounters with the Merc with a Mouth, and what storylines of his they've enjoyed through the years. Episode 230 begins with some standard Chuck-and-Brad updates, then the guys delve into the news about Marvel looking at making a lot more of their one-shot film projects. The dudes are appropriately stoked. From there, Chuck tells Brad about Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes (2001) and the confusion about the ending of the movie, as well as how the studio explained the ending to viewers who were left scratching their heads. Like apes. Chuck regales us all with tales of his anniversary night with Gina, then talks about some Open Mic nights he's been to recently. This somehow segues to Brad talking about guilt he feels from a college project that was literally over fifteen years ago. C&B really get into sharing some stories about their times in college. Chuck talks about his trip to NYC to see "Aladdin" on Broadway, then they talk about the "Turtle Hunt" - a daylong trip to track down and obtain some important Halloween decorations. The podcast opens with Chuck and Brad chatting and giving updates about their respective projects, including an upcoming solo show for Chuck in Boston with Kris Roe of the Ataris. After that, C&B discuss the documentary feature Bad Grandpa.5 - also very funny. Finally (movie-wise), they break down what made 22 Jump Street so very, very, very funny.

Episode 152: New Media, Patrick Rothfuss, and Patton Oswalt
The 152nd installment of this fine program starts with Senior Discount Updates from Chuck, followed by some Brad Updates by Brad. From there, Chuck offers some movie driplets about new shows coming in the future. Chuck then delves into the strange world of giving up DirectTV - how hard is it going to be to watch his favorite shows? How much thinking should one have to do about television? C&B banter about who watches more TV and how they watch it, all the while dodging the real issue - why is it so hard to accurately fast-forward on Hulu?
Once they put that topic to bed, Brad tells the story of going to Cambridge for a reading and signing by renowned fantasy author Patrick Rothfuss. Did Brad meet new people and make new friends? Did Patrick Rothfuss throw away the live podcast DVD Brad handed him? Listen and find out yo'self! Chuck and Brad then tell the story of going to see stand-up comedian Patton Oswalt in Boston on the following night, and then share a few thoughts about the evening.

Chuck and Brad kick off episode 144 with talk about their new diets and the progress so far - not just physically, but in terms of how eating light impacts their masculinity and self-worth. After some quick Senior Discount updates, Chuck offers a few movie driplets - a Naked Gun reboot, a new TV show from two comedians we love, Jurassic World casting news, Clerks 3 casting news, and hints about the new show Gotham.
From there, Chuck and Braddo talk about the character Quicksilver, and his upcoming appearance in two very separate movies owned by Fox and by Disney (the second "Avengers" movie and the fifth "X-Men" outing). Our two protagonists are baffled as to how this can be. Chuck then relates the tale of Tenacious D's "Festival Supreme" from this past autumn - Chuck and Brad are "wicked jealous" they didn't get to attend. The WWE Network is then discussed and dissected - how do Brad and Chuck feel? Finally, the boyz lament the Wii U and its negative sales forecast. The podcast opens with Chuck and Brad talking about Brad having to keep a "food journal" to track mysterious and unpleasant feelings in his bowels. No fun. The boyz then discuss writing in WWE, providing a lot of context to describe why they like the writing in the feud between CM Punk and John Cena (and one promo in particular). Brad then talks about a book he recently read, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, and its subject of teenage cancer. Brad admits to often thinking about how he would react if he was diagnosed with cancer and Chuck admits he has thought about it a little.

Chuck and Brad talk about Chuck's night at the Soundoff/Bad Larry show, the fun he had and how good it made him feel. This draws the 99th episode of the Chuck and Brad podcast to a close.
