#468 - Chuck's Donut Hunt, Animated Dramas, and Blade Runner

We open with a brief dicussion of Chuck's current hillbilly-like status before updating his injury status from last week. He talks about his efforts to get a fancy French Dip sandwich this week as well as going on a Jelly Donut hunt for his grandfather's 95th birthday. I'm still not sure how this ended up with us talking about TMNT II: Secret of the Ooze. We talk about Nick Swardson's appearance on Steve-O's podcast, then I bring up a book series I just finished and ask Chuck the question: why aren't there animated series aimed at adults? After we try and parse that out, I talk about finishing the game Dishonored 2 and using a walkthrough for most of it - should I feel ashamed? From there, we discuss me watching Blade Runner for the first time this weekend, then follow up with my thoughts on Blade Runner 2049. We talk a little bit about movies that make us cry and that becomes a discussion of songs and videos that elicit tears. Happy tears, I mean. The good kind.

#424 - Undependent, Chuck's Trash Troubles, and Brad's Family Visits

Back in the studio/my kitchen this week! Chuck FINALLY reveals the name and nature of the project he worked on with Ray Harrington - a sitcom pilot named Undependent! We talk about its upcoming premiere at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and Chuck talks about how he got involved. Good stuff. Chuck then laments some issues he has had with local trash pickup, and we discuss the role of the trashman in modern society. Very highbrow! After that, we talk about my family's recent visit to the area and I recap all the things we did and all the food we ate!

Episode 299: Local Restaurants, Super Bowl Analysis, and Dead Rising 4

Another shorter episode to round out the week! After a quick plug for this weekend's Spectacular Cookie Smackdown, I relate a cute little story involving tech support for my dad. Chuck talks with me about a Fast and Furious Live show (I'm still confused), then we talk about some restaurants we've been to lately - how delicious were they? And would we talk about them if they weren't? Chuck talks about helping some friends move (my shoulder is still messed up!) and then we dive into a field of expertise: our Super Bowl experience. What did we think about the narrative of the game? Did Chuck's mom make great snacks for her party? Stuff like that! Chuck tosses in another restaurant mention, then we talk about the full experience of Dead Rising 4, including (at some point) spoilers for the end of the game. That's it for this week!

Episode 184: Our Florida Adventure - Part 1

This week, we are presenting a three-part series. Recently, Chuck and Brad went to Florida with some of their pals. Let's lay it on the line here - this week's series of episodes that are more for the superfans of the Chuck and Brad Podcast, as they are basically the audio equivalent of home movies. Not the most exciting, hilarious or erotic series of episodes - just the recording of a good vacation with some good friends. Here are some "exciting" highlights: background information on planning our trip, some expressions of anxiety, the initial flight and associated trouble therewith, arrival in Florida, a surprising shopping expedition, meeting up with Lou, and a day in Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure. Also a gluttonous feast.
This episode was recorded while still on the trip, while still in the townhouse we rented in Florida. Chuck and Brad are joined on this journey (both literal and figurative) by podcast mainstays Lou Perella and Patrick Dennis, as well as newcomer Sarah Reynolds. Much fun is had at everyone's expense.
