Episode 326: Nazis, MoviePass, and We Get An NES Classic

In the wake of recent national news, Chuck and I start off this week by talking about Nazis and offer our official podcast stance on the subject. We talk more about the idea of racism in general and how we can help the country become a better place. I also swear in this segment (several times!). We then move on to a listener email, then ease into somewhat lighter fare with some news about the history of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Batfleck, and Gremlins 3. Chuck tells me about the new project from Jeff Tremaine and Patrick O'Dell, then we talk about the MoviePass service. For ten bucks a month, you can see one movie per day. What do we think? We then talk about the NES Classic and are finally able to give a hands-on review of the system. Chuck tells me about a recent trip to the restaurant Los Andes, then savagely and brutally picks apart my personality re: food (and life). We finish up by talking about our recent trips to see WWE wrestling live this week and talk about how much fun we had.

Episode 268: Appropriate (Social) Revenge, Popstar, and X-Men: Apocalypse

We begin this episode (after some normal plugs) by talking about the recent tragedy in Orlando and sharing our thoughts and confusion (mostly confusion). After that, the mood lightens somewhat as Chuck and I discuss the actions of my friend on a bad date, and whether her behavior equaled or exceeded her date's lateness. Please don't let her listen to this episode. We talk a little bit about movie news involving Donald Glover being cast in the new Spider-Man movie, as well as the announcement for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9. We talk about the new Tim Armstrong record and the new Interrupters single.
After that, it's on to E3 for a while. Remember when we used to be super excited about E3? Good times. In any event, Dead Rising 4 is going to be a Christmas Zombie game, and Chuck's glee is palpable. Chuck then talks about his recent trip to see an episode of Hollywood Babble-On, as well as a productive comic shopping expedition.
From there, it's all about comedy for a while, as we compare and contrast Documentary Now, Lady Dynamite, Neighbors, Neighbors 2, and Popstar. We love Popstar. I talk about going to see Warcraft, then we close the episode discussing X-Men: Apocalypse.
