Episode 298 Part 1: Director Ben Affleck, Gamestop Corporate Decisions, and Magnificent 7

We ran long this week, so pay no attention to the fact that we don't say "part one" at the beginning of the episode! This episode finds us talking about the below Web Couliers, then we talk about Johnny Knoxville's next film project, before chatting about Ben Affleck stepping down as director of "The Batman." We talk a lot about some Gamestop policies for their employees and how they will affect the business.
We then discuss Chris Gethard's one-man show being broadcast on HBO, then briefly talk about the New York Times' bestseller lists. We review our week - including my contribution of Chipotle to our Royal Rumble party - then I tell Chuck about the movie "Arrival." We then review Magnificent Seven (the remake) before cutting ourselves off for part one.

Episode 231: Crossover Storytelling, Rock Band 4 Problems, and Further Festive Adventures

The 231st installment of this beloved podcast kicks off with Chuck and Brad updates. The guys talk about an email about a possible (?) parody video of a conspiracy or some such nonsense. Following that, they talk about the below Web Couliers, then Chuck dives into some Movie Driplets (safely). What's up with multiple versions of Quentin Tarantino's Hateful Eight? What are the plans for Die Hard 6 (and how do C&B feel about the films in the franchise)? And what's this I hear about two move Marvel properties possibly being made into TV shows?
The first "main topic" of the night is the distressing news about the release of Rock Band 4 for Xbox One - what's the deal, Harmonix? After that, the guys talk about a listener Vox regarding the crossovers between franchises and storylines. Is this a good thing? Is it a sign of the death of creativity?
After that thorough discussion, the manchildren (menchildren?) talk about the festive things they've done in the past week - Haunted History Tours, Teen Wolf, Pumpkin Carving, Salem, Decorating, The Scituate Art Fair, and It Follows! Wow! What a festive week!
-Brad

ALSO: The guys receive some amazingly fun news while recording!!!!!!

Episode 115: The Green Jello Saga, Penn & Teller, and Xbox One

Episode 115 begins with Chuck discussing the events surrounding two recent Senior Discount shows. It is complicated and sad, as many things tend to be. The podcast takes an upturn as the boyz discuss their trip to Connecticut to see a Penn & Teller show (although the circumstances surrounding that are complicated and sad).
From there, the rest of the podcast deals with the announcement of the new console from Microsoft, the Xbox One. What does Chuck think of the "no backwards compatibility" portion of the announcement? Check out the podcast and find out! (But seriously, he hates it.)
