#475 -Brad's Birthday, Nudity in Film, and Palm Springs

I love doing the podcast. Just throwing that out there. We talk about what we've been up to, including teasing a big story for next week. I talk about my birthday weekend and what that felt like during these bizarre times. Chuck talks about a series of stressful incidents from earlier this week. From there, we move to some news including a documentary about nudity in cinema. We end up on a tangent about nude scenes/racy movies that we remember from our youth/adolescence. We talk about being alone with our thoughts and how podcasts/TV shows help with that. From there, we discuss our experiences with/expectations of straight-to-streaming films. This segues neatly into a spoiler-free discussion of the direct-to-Hulu film "Palm Springs." We talk about it spoiler-free, then make it abundantly clear when we're about to dive into spoiler territory and further discuss the film.

Episode 272: Chuck's Petty Printshop Problem, Finding Dory, and Idyllic Summer Memories

Longtime fans of the podcast love "Chuck's Petty Printouts," in which Chuck reads emails to and from people he disagrees with on the internet. Well this one is even pettier and IN REAL LIFE! Hear the twisted tale of Chuck's print shop visits gone horribly wrong, and the assault accusation that came his way because of it! After that, we chat about being forced to spend a bunch of credit at MovieStop and the possibility of Netflix offering downloads. We also review my birthday weekend festivities - Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 on Saturday night, followed by pizza with pals on Sunday night. It was a nice low-key birthday weekend. Then we break down the recent Pixar film Finding Dory - did the same part make each of us tear up???? After that, inspired by the new Blink-182 song "Teenage Satellites," we talk about awesome nights we remember from summers gone by - starting as teens and continuing through current day. Oh, and you get to hear Chuck almost die at my description of Nitrous Oxide, so there's that to look forward to.

Episode 220: Ant-Man, Ted 2, and Chuck's Brother's Wedding

The 220th installment of this entertainment stalwart starts out with Chuck and Brad talking about the history of Senior Discount. Chuck runs through some old shows and Brad talks about what he was doing at the time (11-12 years ago). This is all to plug the upcoming S*D show on July 31. The guys answer an email about leaked trailers from a loyal listener, then talk about Chuck's brother's wedding weekend. A minor hitch occurred after the rehearsal - did this throw the whole weekend off?
Brad also talks about his trip to Indiana and time with his family, then the guys talk about the 2nd Annual Bradley Invitational Tournament in Chuck's backyard. They also debate the merits of Brad doing "Brad Trivia" on Facebook on his birthday. From there, they mention a different birthday party they attended, and Chuck gives a brief review of Ted 2. They discuss Ant-Man in greater detail, then Chuck attempts to explain Periscope to Brad (by Periscoping him).
