#532 - Chuck's Birthday Weekend, Mold-mania, and Woodstock '99

After a quick reminder about the upcoming show at the Comedy Connection (August 15th!), we respond to some listener emails. A lot of Would You Rathers, now that I think about it. We then talk about Chuck's birthday weekend and a surprisingly busy party day for us (as guests). From there, we relate the sad story of our friends in Austin dealing with mold...and then a student at my college dealing with it. And then ONE OF US PERSONALLY DEALS WITH IT! We close with a discussion about the recent HBO documentary about the Woodstock '99 Festival and everything that went wrong there.

We then compare weeks - Chuck went to New Jersey to film for Tell 'Em Steve-Dave, I went to Indiana to hang out with my family and eat a surprising (or not-that-surprising) amount of pizza.

Episode 272: Chuck's Petty Printshop Problem, Finding Dory, and Idyllic Summer Memories

Longtime fans of the podcast love "Chuck's Petty Printouts," in which Chuck reads emails to and from people he disagrees with on the internet. Well this one is even pettier and IN REAL LIFE! Hear the twisted tale of Chuck's print shop visits gone horribly wrong, and the assault accusation that came his way because of it! After that, we chat about being forced to spend a bunch of credit at MovieStop and the possibility of Netflix offering downloads. We also review my birthday weekend festivities - Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 on Saturday night, followed by pizza with pals on Sunday night. It was a nice low-key birthday weekend. Then we break down the recent Pixar film Finding Dory - did the same part make each of us tear up???? After that, inspired by the new Blink-182 song "Teenage Satellites," we talk about awesome nights we remember from summers gone by - starting as teens and continuing through current day. Oh, and you get to hear Chuck almost die at my description of Nitrous Oxide, so there's that to look forward to.

Episode 135: "An Affair Gone Awry" and Halloween

The 135th episode of the Chuck and Brad Podcast finds the boys joined in "studio" by local villains Brian Decoteaux and Nic Hallenbeck. After all four pimp their own projects (Bands! Comedy! Other Stuff!), Chuck begins telling a tale so terrible it could only be told in the spookiest month of the year!!!!! SHIVER with terror as Chuck spins a yarn of dating a twenty-one year-old in the modern world! QUAKE with fear when you learn about the illogical ways in which this young lady acted! Your SPINE with TINGLE when you hear about a heartbreakingly frigid response to a beautifully honest and well-written letter! (We're talking PERFECT grammar, here!!)
Once the guys are done wetting themselves, they talk about some Halloween topics, including the movie "Hocus Pocus" (and which witch they'd bang), Sexy Costumes (and which sexy costumed girl they'd bang), then the idea of sexy costumes for the four of them...as well as some more realistic costume ideas. They also talk about the "pumpkin takeover" of the autumn season and yearn for the simple days gone by, when apple was the flavor of the masses. They finish by talking about festiveness and how important it is to keep the spirit of Halloween alive in your heart all throughout the year and forever.

Episode 98: Cabin In The Woods, Chuck's Trip to "Fetish Night"

Chuck and Brad chit-chat a little bit before diving into a big topic this week - the upcoming blu-ray release of "Cabin In The Woods." Spoilers abound in their discussion, but both handsome studs agree that this is a great movie that you should totally see.
Once they spoil the whole movie and gush over how much they enjoyed it, Chuck relates the story of going out in Providence to "Fetish Night." Brad is bewildered and a little disturbed by Chuck's description of the Fetish Night crowd. The boys mention a few books they are reading/have read recently and then sign off for the week.
