#360 - Our Weekend At Big Apple Comic-Con

After last week's amazing interview episode (seriously, Casey Jost is such a good dude!), we reconvene in Chuck's kitchen to record a recap episode. We talk about the birth of our "Avengers" bit and how it went over at the Comedy Connection in Rhode Island. We then took the show on the road to NYC to perform it at the Big Apple Comic-Con. What colorful characters did we interact with there? How did the show go over? And man oh man, where did we EAT in New York? For the first time in podcast history, I was more excited about a meal than Chuck was. I can't believe it either. Hear how we befriended Jennifer Cihi and Johnathon Schaech and listen to two comedians navigate the unfamiliar, unmarked path of pop-culture-multimedia-comedy!

#359 - The Story of Casey Jost

We are joined this work by writer/comedian/musician/producer of Impractical Jokers Casey Jost! We talk about his background in comedy and music and what shaped his voice as a performer. We get his entire story from child to grown-up child! We also talk about Limp Bizkit. We learn the story of how he got involved with Impractical Jokers, talk about improv team names, and riff on a billion different topics. It's a very engaging conversation with a genuinely good, funny dude.

#358 - The Meg, TJ Miler, and An Evening Uncorked

Somehow we keep things relatively short this week! Granted, our discussion about the trailer for the upcoming movie 'The Meg' is derailed by some of our classic tangents, but we finish the discussion eventually! After that, we talk about TJ Miller's recent arrest and our thoughts on that. We finish with a discussion about Chuck's night at RI PBS's fundraiser "An Evening Uncorked." He tells me about the fancy food he and Gina ate and some of the cool silent auction stuff they had there. Sounds like a great event!

#357 - John Poveromo, Android Auto, and Ready Player One

Wow! A fun one! We kick things off with a Skype interview with our new friend, stand-up comedian John Poveromo. John's performing in Newport, RI this weekend and we talk with him about his career in stand-up, his book, and Chuck provides him restaurant recommendations for the area. After that, we talk with our pal Lou Perella (in-studio) about the resolution of Chuck's Best Buy problems from last month. Chuck enlightens us on the glory and wonder that is "Android Auto" (in his new car stereo system). We talk about the documentary 'A Fat Wreck' (available on Amazon) and 'The Zen Diaries of Garry Shandling' documentary (available on HBO). After that, we offer our spoiler-free thoughts on Ready Player One (the movie and the book), then make it very clear that we're switching to our spoiler-full thoughts about both (we spoil more of the movie than the book, though).
