#507 - The Trial of Ray Harrington, Chuck's Bizarre Showers, and Clone High

Ray Harrington joins us (in person!) this week to talk about a bunch of fun stuff. Chuck presents us with (sincere!) Valentine's gifts. We then talk about Chuck's new video with the Tell Em Steve-Dave guys, then read some listener emails. We discuss my testosterone levels, The Avengers recreated in 16-bit scenes, then a bunch of things including Chuck's Halloween playlist and some book recommendations. Chuck then explains his new hygiene routine to me and Ray and it gets weirder and weirder as he continues to explain it. We talk about Chuck's recent dentist visit and talk about the comedy of a prank and how it works. We discuss the Clone High to HBO Max news and talk about our experience with the show. We then talk about some old listener emails discussing Ray and talk about our relationship to criticism. We get pretty slap-happy as we close this episode! Lot of fun!

#428 - Comic Book Men: On the Road, the Nordic Lodge, and Spider-Man's Sony/Disney Split

WHOA MAMA! We start with Chuck giving me a delicious sweet treat as repayments for ninja turtle-related favors! We offer some Chuck and Brad updates, then read some listener emails and discuss possible names for our listeners. Chuck discusses the TESD video "Comic Book Men: On The Road." Chuck tries to convince me to watch some scary movies for the upcoming Halloween and I am somewhat hesitant. We talk about our poker night, our trip to the new restaurant "Union Burrito" in Riverside, then Chuck tells me about the decadent buffet he experienced at the "Nordic Lodge." We talk about recording a Ninja Turtle podcast with our pals at Geeking Out with Shades and Sketch, then going to our friend's "Meatfest" cookout. We close by talking about the split between Sony and Disney regarding Spider-Man. What will this mean going forward?

#412 - Cokie the Clown, Our Comedy Tour Recap, and Avengers: Endgame

Action-packed this week! We are joined by Gina Mastrostefano, Lou Perella, and Abe Correia to discuss a bunch of stuff! We start by recapping our Hartford comedy show from last week and discuss the highs and lows we went through there. After that, we talk about a trip to NYC to see NoFX's lead singer Fat Mike perform a set as his alter-ego Cokie the Clown. How depressing was the set, and how did we feel about it? After that, we talk about the highs and lows of our comedy show in New York, then about the lows and lows of our show in Boston. (Not a typo. Lows AND lows.) After recapping our very busy weekend, we finally discuss our SPOILER-FREE thoughts on Avengers: Endgame. We then make it perfectly clear when we're about to shift into spoiler-full territory and do so, giving our thoughts and feelings on the movie that concludes Marvel's 22-movie "Infinity Saga." Get excited to hear about how much and how often and how hard we cried in the theater!

#405 - Talking To Middle Schoolers, Is Chuck A Hero?, and Captain Marvel

In this week's episode, Chuck and I talk about our recent trip to a local middle school to talk about podcasting last week. It was a fun time. In a less-fun turn of events, Chuck witnessed an elderly woman falling and talks about the aftermath.
After a break to, you know...see the movie, your heroes (Chuck and Brad, now with JORDAN FURTADO in tow) come back and offer up a SPOILER-FREE discussion of Captain Marvel. Once our thoughts on the spoiler-free front are suitably explained, we then offer up a spoiler-full review of the movie and talk about how it feeds into the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe.

#391 - Us The Duo, Gift Ideas, and the Avengers: Endgame Trailer

We start with a long aside about Chuck having to return a gift that I was a part of for him a few years ago. I find old emails about the scenario and laughs are had. We plug our upcoming comedy show and Chuck tells me about his appearance on another podcast and we question whether he came across as a dick. We then talk about dating relationships and how they are complicated in 2018. We talk about the Avengers 4 trailer, then Chuck tells me about the new Us The Duo Christmas special on Amazon Prime. After that, we discuss gift-giving philosophies and tips for this time of year. We close with a discussion about the NVIDIA Shield and how well it works for old video game emulation.

#390 - Entitled Fans, Pop-Punk Christmas Albums, and the NVIDIA Shield

We start with Chuck bragging about the soups a friend dropped off just before the show. Somehow this leads to us discussing food expiration dates, which I promise you is more interesting than it looks in this description. We talk about MxPx's Christmas re-release (and new track), as well as Jon Feldman's hinting of a Goldfinger Christmas EP. From there, we talk about entitled fans and what leads people to act like...well...jerks. Chuck tells me about his search for a new video game emulation device and tells me about the decision he made. We close with an extended plug for our upcoming Christmas show!

#361 - Cupcake Championship, The Grand Tasting, and Avengers: Infinity War

We are joined this week by our friends Michayla Currie and Gina Mastrostefano. The four of us talk some music driplets - there's a new song out (and album forthcoming) from The Interrupters, and friend of the podcast Casey Jost has a new single AND album out! Wow! We then talk about the RI Food Fights Cupcake Championship and share our thoughts on the delicious cupcakes we ate there. Michayla tells us about going to the birthday brunch for the Instagram account "Buns and Bites" and we make many jokes. From there, Chuck and Gina talk about their experience with the new menu at Xaco Taco, then tell me about Eat Drink RI's Grand Tasting and tell me about the fancy food they ate. Once all the food talk is done, we break into a SPOILER-FREE review of Avengers: Infinity War. And once we've finished that, we have a clear separation, then launch into a SPOILER-FULL review of Avengers: Infinity War. It's a fun conversation!

PS I have typed it as "Infinity Way" four times in a row now. That is not correct.

#360 - Our Weekend At Big Apple Comic-Con

After last week's amazing interview episode (seriously, Casey Jost is such a good dude!), we reconvene in Chuck's kitchen to record a recap episode. We talk about the birth of our "Avengers" bit and how it went over at the Comedy Connection in Rhode Island. We then took the show on the road to NYC to perform it at the Big Apple Comic-Con. What colorful characters did we interact with there? How did the show go over? And man oh man, where did we EAT in New York? For the first time in podcast history, I was more excited about a meal than Chuck was. I can't believe it either. Hear how we befriended Jennifer Cihi and Johnathon Schaech and listen to two comedians navigate the unfamiliar, unmarked path of pop-culture-multimedia-comedy!

Episode 210: Our Video Screening and Avengers: Age of Ultron

Episode number 210 of the podcast features Brad and Chuck riding solo together. Somehow. It starts with some Senior Discount updates, Chuck mentions the below Web Coulier, then offers some Movie Driplets about a Kingsman sequel and the Days of Future Past: Rogue Cut. C&B then discuss the recent screening of the video they've been working on for months - how did it go over? What worked well, and what worked......less......well.
After a thorough discussion, Brad tells Chuck about his trip to Indiana, and Chuck tells Brad about what he missed here in New England. A quick mention of some wrestling topics, then the heart of the podcast is breached.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is doing very well at the box office - what did Chuck and Brad think of it? What did they like and dislike, and why did they feel that way? After talking about the movie (HEAVY SPOILERS), they talk about a poorly-written article that discusses the Black Widow's role in the movie.

Episode 204: Bickering in Relationships, American Sniper Libel, the Joys of Filming, and Fixing Chappie

Episode 204 begins with Brad correctly introducing the podcast on the first try. After some Senior Discount and Brad updates, the guys talk about bickering in relationships and how that works and looks. From there, it's a brief discussion on anger and how the guys demonstrate that (with a stirring example from Chuck's home life). Chuck has Movie Driplets about Super Troopers 2 and a new Lego movie.
Podcast Pal Patrick Dennis wrote himself a letter a few years ago, and the guys take a somber look at the letter as they broadcast Patrick's private thoughts to the world. Also...what's up with the new Nintendo console? Chuck and Brad move on to a topic frequent listeners enjoy - their understanding of the law, as they discuss the libel case brought by Jesse Ventura against "American Sniper" Chris Kyle.
Happier topics include T-Mobile's announcement of Music Freedom, and the free music streaming offered by the carrier. Also, who are some of the characters in the new Mortal Kombat game? There's some speculation between C&B about which character will die in Avengers 2 before they move on to discussing their own filming project and the glee they are taking in it. Finally, Chuck and Brad debut a new segment called "Chuck and Brad fix..." and use that segment to discuss, spoil, and fix the movie "Chappie."

Episode 127: Band Documentaries, Modern Relationships, and a Review of the Live Podcast

The episode starts with Brad bumming us all out by talking about how he's been incredibly depressed lately. Cheer up, Brad. Eat a KitKat or something. Senior Discount updates follow, with the teaser of bigger announcements to follow soon. The below Web Coulier is talked about, and listener mail is answered.
Chuck brings some Movie Driplets to the table - 12 Monkeys as a TV show, a new movie from the director of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Amy Schumer getting a movie deal. The boys talk about the upcoming Green Day documentary Broadway Idiot, and then have a long discussion about the upcoming documentary about the band Leftover Crack.
Switching both genres and media, C&B chat about the news that Aziz Ansari will be writing a relationship book, and share some of their modern relationship woes. In addition, Chuck shares the sad story of the mobile game that was downloaded 50,000 times...and paid for a mere 144 times.
Chuck then offers a new segment, tastefully and creatively titled "Shut the Fuck Up," in which he discusses gripes people have and tells those people what he thinks of their opinions. (It involves them shutting the fuck up.)
This episode closes with a review of the live podcast (episode 126, coming soon to video), and a discussion about the work that went into it, the pride felt by our handsome hosts, and whether or not we're planning another one.

Episode 113: Iron Man 3, Video Game Writing, and support among artists

Episode 113 starts out with some blasts from the past/future, as Chuck and Brad talk about the rescheduled Senior Discount show, which was technically Thursday night (May 9), but the podcast was recorded on May 8th. Much time travel merriment is had.
Chuck and Brad discuss the below Web Coulier - a trailer for the upcoming movie "Ender's Game." Brad is cautiously optimistic. Chuck does not like space.
Chuck's movie driplet this week spawns a side conversation - isn't it awesome that Marvel president Kevin Feige can praise DC movies and hope for their success? And that Joss Whedon and JJ Abrams helped with the third act of Iron Man 3?
Once that is done, the boys talk about writing in video games. Brad is particularly enamored with the writing in Bioshock: Infinite, and they discuss games they've played that they really got into the story.
The meat of the podcast, however, is a hearty discussion about their trip to Boston to see Iron Man 3. We learn about Brad's increasing desire to go to sleep early as well as Chuck's passion for filet mignon potato skins. They discuss the movie in general terms before announcing a hearty and healthy spoiler alert and then discussing the film in depth.
The podcast ends with Brad admitting to a failure in his personal life and apologizing for it to Chuck.

Episode 85: Brad's Vacation, Laura Jane Grace's Transformation, and "The Avengers"

This week returns with an episode of "Agreeing To Disagree," as Brad re-joins the 'cast cast after his vacation. He tells Patrick and Chuck what he thought about the Brad-cast, and corrects an error or two that was made in his absence - including the TRUTH about "making out with a topless prostitute at a concert." Chuck offers some movie/TV droplets of information, which the boys discuss for a while. Following that, we learn about Brad's recent trip, including several chuckle-worthy moments.

Once the personal stuff is out of the way, attention shifts to the big news from the world of punk music from this past week - Against Me! singer Laura Jane Grace (formerly Tom Gabel) has announced that she is transgendered. After some in-depth discussion, they move on to the last topics - the double feature of "The Dictator" and "The Avengers." Find out their thoughts this week!
