Episode 270: Moviestop Closing and Summer Weekend Reviews
The 270th episode of this landmark podcast begins with us remembering to plug our social media accounts for once. Good on us. We chat about some nonsense, then get to the important stuff: since Moviestop is closing, how will Chuck spend his massive amount of credit? Chuck talks with me about the popularity of the original Independence Day and we try to remember the movie and only hit the big parts. Chuck then shares the story of his very summer-y weekend. Korean food and Movies on the Block with Maksood, Roger Williams' Zoobilee and dancing with Gina, Lou and Laura - plus we recap the RI Food Fights Ice Cream Throwdown that we somehow judged on Sunday. Chuck talks about his exciting Monday riding electric bikes all over Bristol, then I share a cute little story about my dad.

Episode 269: Twitter Beefs, Restaurant Reviews, and Wellness Policies
Episode 269 (heh) starts with some updates, and then gets into the below Web Coulier. We talk about Anton Yelchin's death, Danny McBride in the new Alien movie, and Hannibal Burress joining the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Chuck then relates a tale of Twitter beef with an anonymous user and Brad spends way too much time researching this stranger's feed. We talk about some local restaurants we've visited, then go into the news that (former) WWE Champion Roman Reigns has been suspended for a violation of the company's Wellness Policy. I tell Chuck about the Providence Improv Guild's 4th anniversary show, and that's kind of it. We're super short this week. Don't get used to it!

Episode 268: Appropriate (Social) Revenge, Popstar, and X-Men: Apocalypse
We begin this episode (after some normal plugs) by talking about the recent tragedy in Orlando and sharing our thoughts and confusion (mostly confusion). After that, the mood lightens somewhat as Chuck and I discuss the actions of my friend on a bad date, and whether her behavior equaled or exceeded her date's lateness. Please don't let her listen to this episode. We talk a little bit about movie news involving Donald Glover being cast in the new Spider-Man movie, as well as the announcement for Curb Your Enthusiasm season 9. We talk about the new Tim Armstrong record and the new Interrupters single.
After that, it's on to E3 for a while. Remember when we used to be super excited about E3? Good times. In any event, Dead Rising 4 is going to be a Christmas Zombie game, and Chuck's glee is palpable. Chuck then talks about his recent trip to see an episode of Hollywood Babble-On, as well as a productive comic shopping expedition.
From there, it's all about comedy for a while, as we compare and contrast Documentary Now, Lady Dynamite, Neighbors, Neighbors 2, and Popstar. We love Popstar. I talk about going to see Warcraft, then we close the episode discussing X-Men: Apocalypse.

Episode 267: Matt's Singleness, Nerding Out, and Black Skabbath
We're joined this week by Matt Di Chaira and Carey Bowman of The Copacetics, and they are ready to chat! We immediately follow a thread of conversation into a thorough exploration of Matt's singleness. Once he's convinced us all of his genius, we nerd out over comic books and the organization thereof. We talk about the new music from The Copacetics and then reveal what we've all been waiting for without knowing it: Black Skabbath.

Episode 266: The Jungle Book, Adam Sandler Stand-Up, and Soundoff's CD Release Show
This episode finds Eric Maksood in the studio with us. We talk about the past few weeks of our lives. But first, a fun conversation about Finding Dory being shown with Finding Nemo, then we (unintentionally?) taunt Maksood by talking about the Playstation 4-exclusive Uncharted 4 and how great it is. We review a Norm MacDonald stand-up show, then talk about a new favorite eatery in Providence. We discuss Ferris Bueller and which character is Chuck and which is Brad. We talk about the new NOFX book, then take a deep breath and dive into a thorough discussion of the recent iteration of "The Jungle Book." Maksood brings a lot of knowledge to the table, which is good. He also brings his Christopher Walken impression...less good. Chuck talks about his trip to see Tell 'Em Steve-Dave in Brooklyn, then he and I discuss our stand-up sets from a few weeks ago. We talk about going to see Adam Sandler live and what a crazy set it was. We talk about our Memorial Day activities, then thoroughly discuss the recent CD release show from Maksood's (other) band, Soundoff. A fun episode!
