#535 - WW84, Free Guy, and Chuck's Mystery Diagnosis

Chuck starts out by talking about the idea of "red flag movies," and how the very IDEA makes him see red (I'm sorry). We put that absurd idea to bed, then I tell Chuck about Wonder Woman '84 and my thoughts on that. Chuck tells me about the Ryan Reynolds movie Free Guy and how much he enjoyed it. I then surprise Chuck with a bonus recap of the early-80's film "Up The Creek." I am also surprised I watched it. We answer some listener emails about the Arcade 1-Up, our show recap, and watching a movie sans trailers. That provides a nice segue into a discussion about the trailer for the new Spider-Man film. After we clean up our laps, we talk about the new trailer for "Shredder's Revenge," then the just-release footage from the next Saints Row game. Once we clear out our pop culture brains, Chuck tells me about his trip to the Emergency Room last week and what the doctors discovered living inside him! (Surprisingly, not a Nerf dart!)

#534 - Chuck's Nerf Obsession, The Val Kilmer Documentary, and Our Dark Knight Show Recap

We kick things off with Chuck bragging about his cool new Nerf collection - am I foolish for thinking that if foam darts are rocketing toward my eyes, some glasses might be helpful? Chuck seems to think so! We then answer some listener emails including a big Would You Rather. From there, Chuck tells me about the Val Kilmer documentary "Val" on Prime Video and I agree to watch it soon. After that, he tells me all about his cool Rhode Island Day with TESD mainstay Frank Five and Mrs. Five. Finally, we talk about our recent gig at the Comedy Connection; all the work behind the scenes, everything that went wrong, so many jokes at Ray Harrington's expense, then winning the crowd over with the final bit. The show was a success.

Whoa baby. I'm back in RI - we answer some listener emails about summer playlists, and gaming preferences, then I get into the nitty gritty! We talk about my experience filming the behind-the-scenes of Mark Normand's Netflix taping. Why was I removed? Who removed me?! Do I even have answers to these questions?
Then we talk about me racing back to RI to pick up my pals and head to the Hella Mega Tour in Boston at Fenway Park, with Green Day, Weezer and The Interrupters!! Finally, we break into James Gunn's The Suicide Squad. After a very clear spoiler warning, we close the show with a deep dive into the movie!

#532 - Chuck's Birthday Weekend, Mold-mania, and Woodstock '99

After a quick reminder about the upcoming show at the Comedy Connection (August 15th!), we respond to some listener emails. A lot of Would You Rathers, now that I think about it. We then talk about Chuck's birthday weekend and a surprisingly busy party day for us (as guests). From there, we relate the sad story of our friends in Austin dealing with mold...and then a student at my college dealing with it. And then ONE OF US PERSONALLY DEALS WITH IT! We close with a discussion about the recent HBO documentary about the Woodstock '99 Festival and everything that went wrong there.
