#364 - Paul Cuffee and the Wendy's Debate

Big announcement this week - we'll be headlining the Comedy Connection on June 21st with our reimagining of Jurassic Park! We talk about that and plug some other upcoming shows, then talk about Senior Discount drummer Christian's school play about Paul Cuffee. We have a lot of fun at Christian's expense. We talk about the recent Senior Discount show with Tsunami Bomb and that leads Chuck to reminisce about an old experience at a Wendy's drive-thru. Our discussion leads Chuck to ask the age-old question: What Would Paul Cuffee Do?
Last Saturday we covered the "Punk In Drublic" Festival in Brockton, MA. We have opinions on bands and food! Important opinions! Chuck and I then discuss the appropriate way to handle a potential dating situation in 2018 - which is more intimate, texting or Facebook? Once that's done, we discuss a spoiler-free review of Deadpool 2!

#363 - Cook and Dagger and the Sum 41 "Does This Look Infected?" Anniversary Tour

We start out the show by plugging a bunch of stuff about ourselves - upcoming shows, our social media (@bradrohrer and @discountchuck), then talk about this weekend's forthcoming "Punk In Drublic" show in Brockton, MA. Once that's out of the way, Chuck tells me all about Cook and Dagger's new menu and it sounds pretty amazing. If you weren't hungry when you started listening this week, you will be. We go from there to Chuck describing the Naked Comedy Show at Improv Boston, then we discuss naked mole rats for a long time (the segue is obvious). I talk about my affection and enthusiasm for the new Frank Turner album, then talk about the new improv theater - Ad-Lib Comedy Theater - opening in Cranston, RI. Once that is through, we talk at length about Sum 41's set on Tuesday night at the Boston date of their "Does This Look Infected?" 15th anniversary tour. Spoiler alert: they were amazing. And once we finish gushing over that, Chuck and I tell the story of his band's experience playing the pre-show party for Sum 41 and how our night went - parking, the rain, the sound, and the controversy.
Finally, we cut to backstage at the Senior Discount / Diablogato / Tsunami Bomb show, where Senior Discount bassist Abe Correia tells us his experience at the Sum 41 show. The rest of the band joins us as we joke and cackle well-past the two-hour mark.

#361 - Cupcake Championship, The Grand Tasting, and Avengers: Infinity War

We are joined this week by our friends Michayla Currie and Gina Mastrostefano. The four of us talk some music driplets - there's a new song out (and album forthcoming) from The Interrupters, and friend of the podcast Casey Jost has a new single AND album out! Wow! We then talk about the RI Food Fights Cupcake Championship and share our thoughts on the delicious cupcakes we ate there. Michayla tells us about going to the birthday brunch for the Instagram account "Buns and Bites" and we make many jokes. From there, Chuck and Gina talk about their experience with the new menu at Xaco Taco, then tell me about Eat Drink RI's Grand Tasting and tell me about the fancy food they ate. Once all the food talk is done, we break into a SPOILER-FREE review of Avengers: Infinity War. And once we've finished that, we have a clear separation, then launch into a SPOILER-FULL review of Avengers: Infinity War. It's a fun conversation!

PS I have typed it as "Infinity Way" four times in a row now. That is not correct.
