Episode 282: Super Mario Run, Rob Lowe Roast, and CM Punk's UFC Debut

The 282nd installment begins with some show updates, then goes to the movie driplets. Jurassic World is going to be a trilogy - guess how excited Chuck is for that? We learn who the villain will be for the third Wolverine movie, and talk about the upcoming Stan Lee biopic. Nintendo recently announced an endless runner game coming to iOS systems - we have feelings about this. Chuck laments the news that the upgraded PS4 will not have a 4K blu-ray drive. I remain ambivalent.
We talk about the Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe and try to figure out why we didn't like it as much as previous roasts. Chuck talks about his struggle to get Green Day tickets, but gets excited about the chance to see Reel Big Fish play one of their albums live.
We close the show by talking extensively about CM Punk's venture into mixed martial arts. Unsurprisingly, we are firmly in his corner, and passionately defend his stance to an uncaring MMA community.

Episode 111: Jurassic Park, Green Day, and our heroes' pasts

This week's episode of the Chuck and Brad podcast finds Chuck and Brad joined by local roustabout Mat Fairchild. The three open the conversation by discussion past incidents of "pantsing," both as pantsers and pantsees. Chuck gives a Senior Discount update and a Web Coulier, listed below. After Brad waxes enthusiastic about the Thursday Next books by Jasper Fforde, the boys discuss creative ventures in various stages of development.
Chuck brings some news driplets to the table - Comic Book Men, the Bad Boys 3 announcement, and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. After that, the meat of the podcast has teeth sunken into it [Editor: There has to be a better way to word that, you idiots.] They discuss a recent trip to see Jurassic Park in 3-D IMAX. Much merriment is made at Brad's expense. Once the raptor calls die down, Chuck and Brad talk about their recent experiences involving Green Day - seeing the band perform live in Providence and watching the recent Cuatro! documentary from the band.
Chuck then brags about some videogame accomplishments that are literally so astounding they can not be put to print. He then talks about the recent movie Spring Breakers and gives his thoughts on the film. All three of the hosts this week talk about their first encounters with illicit substances, then the conversation turns back to popular culture, as Chuck and Brad talk about the Mick Foley and CM Punk DVD's. The conversation ends with an in-depth discussion of the plotline of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, the upcoming X-Men movie.

Episode 99: Writing in WWE, Cancer, My Chemical Romance, and the Bad Larry show

The podcast opens with Chuck and Brad talking about Brad having to keep a "food journal" to track mysterious and unpleasant feelings in his bowels. No fun. The boyz then discuss writing in WWE, providing a lot of context to describe why they like the writing in the feud between CM Punk and John Cena (and one promo in particular). Brad then talks about a book he recently read, The Fault In Our Stars by John Green, and its subject of teenage cancer. Brad admits to often thinking about how he would react if he was diagnosed with cancer and Chuck admits he has thought about it a little.
Chuck also has some interesting news about popular punk band My Chemical Romance and their plan to release some older songs. Chuck and Brad talk about Chuck's night at the Soundoff/Bad Larry show, the fun he had and how good it made him feel. This draws the 99th episode of the Chuck and Brad podcast to a close.
