#494 - Thanksgiving Memories with Chuck's Parents

Whose heart needs warming? After a Chuck-and-Brad-only intro involving listener emails, we get into it! We speak with Chuck and Pat Staton (Chuck's parents) and talk about their Thanksgivings growing up and the Staton family celebrations thereafter. This extends into a further discussion about holidays and hospitality and I really think you'll feel like you're one of the family! This is a very special holiday episode!

#422 - Spider-Man: Far From Home, Our Independence Weeks, and Stranger Things 3

Big talk this week! Chuck and I haven't talked to each other in over a week! We talk about weird things that happened today including a call center employee going off on me over the phone! We talk about our shows together in Hartford and East Providence and all the events surrounding them. After that, I regale Chuck with my tale of family time back in Indiana and he tells me about changing traditions out here in Rhode Island. Once we are caught up on our weeks, we discuss Stranger Things season 3 (no spoilers), then give a spoiler-free review of Spider-Man: Far From Home. After a very clear warning, we then launch into a spoiler-full discussion of the film and include everything we liked and didn't like. But most of it is like.

Episode 293: Chuck and Brad's Chris-Match - TLC: Tinsel, Laughter, and Cheer

This is one of our favorite episodes ever.

We got together with six of our friends (giving us eight voices), then four more friends (as judges), then one final friend (as a sound mixer) and had a wonderfully crazy competition between Brad's Team and Chuck's Team in a winner-take-all series of Christmas games for the ages! Team names, Christmas trivia, ruining Christmas movies, insulting poems, the first and last time we'll ever play "What Celebrity's In My Bed?" on the podcast, a song parody battle between Maksood and Christian, confessing shameful secrets to Santa, and Christmas Deception! Wow! That took a long time just to type! Seriously, this is probably the most fun we've had on the podcast and the first time we've tried something with this many pieces. It is so, so, so, so fun.
Guests include: Abe Correia, Fawn Correia, Michayla Currie, Jordan Furtado, Brian Lau, Eric Maksood, Gina Mastrostefano, Olivia, Christian Staton, and Sam Staton. Sound engineered by Sean Murphy. Merry Christmas!

Episode 271: Summer Playlists, Blink-182, and Independence Weekends

Who's ready for summer?! Chuck is, and proves it, by rolling through his "summer daytime" playlist to start off this episode. Fun fact: there are a lot of daytime summer songs. We talk about the below Web Couliers, then hash out the exciting news that Red Dead Redemption will be backward compatible for the Xbox One. We review the new Blink-182 album and discuss why Blink has stuck around for so long when other bands have....uh....not. Did you know Chuck and I actually spent the weekend apart? And that we didn't talk about what we did until on the podcast? Chuck recaps his fun American weekend with friends and family and I talk about barely beating a six year-old in a mile race! That feat having been properly feted, Chuck reveals the secret of a good summer playlist - have a second one for summer nights! He reviews this one and we sign off!
