Chuck and I differ in excitement levels for Kong vs Godzilla, then share excitmeent about the upcoming documntary about Stone Cold Steve Austin. We discuss cremation and the best way to cremate me. Episode 333: Nathan For You Returns, Social Issues, and Improv Fest Recap

We start this week by griping about our days, before Chuck plugs his Tell 'Em Steve-Dave project one last time. After that, it's listener emails, with discussions about Milkshake Duck and a cool fan-made trailer (linked below). We then discuss the upcoming Kumail Nanjiani/John Cena movie before talking about the "Pitch" app. That leads into a discussion about how much I care about online support (greatly) and whether or not I should (nope). We then talk about the social issues dominating the news cycle over the past week. Anthems, flags, police brutality, disagreements, etc. After that, I give a recap of the recent Providence Improv Fest, then Chuck and I talk about the preparations for an upcoming event.

Episode 332: New Futurama, The Future Of Technology, and "UHF" Live

We're joined this week by local self-proclaimed beauty queen Gina Mastrostefano. We review some listener emails discussing the power of language, a Die Hard Christmas book, the Ducktales theme song in emojis, and a sketch from James Corden. We then duck into movie driplets about an upcoming Jim Carrey/Andy Kaufman documentary and the new Futurama episode (recorded through Nerdist). Chuck tells us about new innovations in wireless charging; this leads to a long discussion about the future of technology and what it will look like and how quickly we'll get there. An unplanned tangent that leads to some really interesting places! Even more interesting than the year 3000? The new Batman/TMNT comic book crossover! We talk about the band "Decapitated" and the charges against them, then talk about Chuck's Nintendo Switch and we all marvel at his Mario Kart prowess. We recount a recent trip to see a screening of "UHF" and Q&A with Weird Al Yankovic, then talk about our time this weekend riding electric bikes around Bristol!

We're catching up this week! After some plugs, we get into the below Web Couliers. We discuss Playboy going back to publishing nudity and Michael Bolton's Big Sexy Valentine's Day Special. We recap our experience as judges/hosts for RI Food Fights' Spectacular Cookie Smackdown, then move on to reviewing The Boss and Lego Batman...one of which Chuck described as possibly the funniest animated movie he's ever seen. We talk about our fancy dinner, then Chuck talks about his week of celebrating with his girlfriend/birthday-haver. They went to see Louis CK. They went to see Us The Duo. They got donuts. They went to family parties. They finally invited me to a party and we talk about the fun we had playing board games on two separate occasions. We did not mention how poorly we've been eating lately.

Episode 256: Chuck and Brad Fix Batman vs Superman

Okay, so this is a weird one. What you are listening to with THIS episode was actually the second half of a very long podcast we recorded. But there was more immediacy with the Batman vs. Superman stuff, so we decided to cut the long podcast and realize this half first. If we sound confused in our intros or outros, that's why. This episode features some non-spoilery thoughts, then a long hard talk about the film's positives and its shortcomings...along with possible solutions for those shortcomings. It's a fun conversation.

Episode 219: Comic-Con Trailers, Pay to Play, and The Story of Rob

Episode 219 of the C&B P-C kicks off with special guest Rob Courtemanche joining the guys in the studio. After some updates concerning upcoming shows, the guys discuss the passel of trailers that came out at Comic-Con this past week. They dish about Deadpool! They squawk about Suicide Squad! They BS about Batman vs Superman. They, um, move their lips about X-Men: Apocalypse? Finally, Chuck dives into Hugh Jackman's revelation about Old Man Logan being the third and final standalone Wolverine film and what that means to him personally. The comic stuff taken care of, the three pals talk about some recent "pay to play" controversy in the Rhode Island music scene and their feelings thereon.
After that, the interview portion of the podcast commences. Chuck and Brad pepper Rob with questions about his musical history and Rob unearths some dynamite stories from his involvement with the bands Bad Larry, Turning Blue, Verbana Darvell, Danger Room, Paler Ghost and The Pogs! They talk about art and music and touring and Xboxes. It's a great conversation, sure to be continued when Senior Discount plays out on July 31st!

Chuck also brings a story of RI band drama and the boys discuss the right way to deal with confrontation.
Movie news then includes: the final chapter in the Paranormal Activity series being announced, a new "Halloween" film (and a discussion of Halloween canon), and Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig's "A Deadly Adoption".
Chuck then discusses his show with Anti-Flag last week, and Brad talks about his dislike for the in-crowd violence. Is Chuck accosted because of his cousin Patrick's raging libido? Find out by listening in! The boys end the traditional topics with a re-visit to "Jurassic World" to discuss all the records broken by the film, and how proud the guys are of how much they like it. Wow! These guys can find any reason to pat themselves on the back!
The podcast ends with a re-telling of Chuck and Brad's recent experience hosting a Gamestop Midnight Release for Batman: Arkham Knight. Did they crash and burn because a DJ was booked to play at the same time immediately to their left? Yes. Yes they did. Hear Chuck and Brad explain what happened, talk about their plan, bring a sexy story to light, and play back some of their recorded episode from the Gamestop debacle.

Episode 159: Music Videos, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Our Top 30 Superhero Movies

This week's show begins with Brad grousing about something or other, then plugging his upcoming improv show. This leads to Brad and Chuck discussing the upcoming live podcast performance and how excited they are for it - link below. They then discuss the Web Coulier for the music video, which leads into a brief discussion about music videos and their place as art. Chuck then offers one tiny driplet of movie news before the guyzos change topics.
Their trip to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was this past weekend - how did they like it? What did they think about it? What were their opinions? Find out the answers to these and many other questions as they discuss the film, first going spoiler-free and then going spoiler-ful for more than the twelve minutes they promise.
A rare planned ranking exercise finds C&B chatting about their favorite superhero movies of the relatively recent past. Which films line up? Which films differ wildly? And what takes home the top spot for each of our heroes? Just...just listen to this week's episode. I'm trying to write a teaser that hints a little bit at the content without giving too much away. It's never an easy job, and honestly, I'm a little tired right now and can't figure anything clever out. - Brad

Episode 128: Franco Roast, "Artificial Intelligence," and Comfort Animals

A short episode this week! Wow! We start with some very brief Senior Discount announcements hyping two upcoming shows. Chuck, Brad, and guest Abe Correia talk about the recent Comedy Central Roast of James Franco. Following that, Chuck talks about a recently-released script for a 2002 Batman/Superman script that was never made. The three geeks agree to read the script and offer notes.
Chuck then rehashes the movie "AI: Artificial Intelligence," a film neither Brad nor Abe has seen recently. Chuck talks about the creepiness and sadness of the movie and Abe and Brad almost cry. Brad offers a recent development from his work life and the pals talk about "comfort animals" and their place in modern society.
Chuck segues beautifully into the second appearance of his new segment "Shut the Fuck Up."
This episode closes with Chuck reading, verbatim, an online personal ad that Brad found on an online dating site. Oh dear.
