WHOA! During the quarantine, we're reaching into our archive and pulling out our BEST interviews! This is the first of our "Archive Episodes" and it's an interview with Jim Nellis about the history of his excellent culinary company RI FOOD FIGHTS! Jim and RIFF have been close to the podcast for years - and we never could have known that on the very first night we sat down and talked to Jim. Luckily, it was recorded here for your listening pleasure! Get the entire story of RI Food Fights right here, right now, on the Chuck and Brad Podcast!

#451 - Behind The Scenes of Filming "Restaurant: Impossible" at Perella's Ristorante

Whoa mama! We are joined by Gina Mastrostefano this week as we welcome in our very, very special guest - Lou Perella! Lou played a pivotal role in the recent episode of the Food Network's show "Restaurant: Impossible," as the "impossible restaurant" in last week's episode was Lou's father's business! Right here in lil' ol' Warren, Rhode Island: Perella's Ristorante! Lou has grown up working at Perella's, he played a pivotal role in the episode, and he gives us the whole behind the scenes story, from talks with the producers well ahead of time to meeting celebrity chef Robert Irvine, to Lou's feelings during the reveal of the renovated restaurant (and the culinary world in general). We love "Little Lou," and after hearing this episode, we guarantee you will too. (NOTE: Not an actual guarantee.) - Brad

#356 - The Story of Eat Drink RI

Get your feedbag on for this one! Chuck tells me about the New England Craft Wine, Beer, and Food Fest he went to last weekend. We discuss the recent RI Food Fights Spectacular Cookie Smackdown and our experiences as judges. After that, we are joined by Dave Dadekian and Katie Kleyla of Eat Drink RI. We talk about the amazing food options in the area, the amazing food events they are putting on in the near future, and amazing local high school mascots. We get into their food/event planning background and talk about how their company came about. If you listen to this, I guarantee you will not eat a gas station rib sandwich for lunch at work tomorrow. (Or you will and feel VERY guilty about it).

Episode 298 Part 2: The Philosophy of Liking Everything

Because we ran long last time we recorded, we cut the episode into two more-palatable parts. This is second of those parts for your palate! We talk about our somewhat shared philosophy of trying to like everything, specifically things in the arts but also food, social situations, and more. What are the pros and cons of such an approach? Does it make us seem like better people? Does it make us ACTUALLY better people (than we were)? Seriously, what is the downside to a positive attitude?

Episode 291: Chuck House Update, Doctor Strange, and Brad's Reunion Anxiety

Whoa mama! Episode 291! After Chuck and I each plug some upcoming shows, we discuss the below Web Couliers. We talk about Marvel's "Inhumans" going to TV, Jackie Chan (our close personal friend) winning an academy award, Ryan Reynolds' take on the director leaving Deadpool 2, and the forthcoming ESPN documentary about the XFL.
We talk a little bit about comedian Kyle Kinane and how our schedules just didn't line up for an interview this week. Chuck breaks the news about his house reconstruction being delayed. Speaking of reconstruction, we have a new president and things are going to look very different. That's a weird post-Civil-War reference. Chuck reviews the food at the Congress Tavern, then we actually break down the movie Doctor Strange. Good stuff! We also talk about how much we enjoyed the now-on-video movie "Central Intelligence." Chuck went to a Pentatonix show - did he love it? It's Chuck. Of COURSE he loved it. He also talks about a wedding he went to recently. We actually close this episode talking about the anxiety I feel about my upcoming high school reunion that I'm not even going to. Honesty remains a priority for the C&BPC!!!

Episode 229: The Story of RI Food Fights

This week's episode finds Chuck and Brad welcoming a guest into the 'studio,' as Jim Nellis of RI Food Fights joins the program. C&B talk with J about the thought process behind starting RI Food Fights. Did Jim have a background in food? Has it always been successful? Did Brad like the poutine he tried last night? The answer to one of these questions is "No!" Give a listen to the story behind a positive force in Rhode Island's thriving restaurant community!

Episode 114: You Call That A Blandjob? This Is Plain With Yourself

Episode 114 is the long-awaited "Bland-Off" between Brad and Podcast Guest Wade Bernier!
True to his devious ways, Chuck has come up with a way to determine which of his pals has a blander palate! Chuck invites gal-pal Cindy Montville on as a "normie" and asks Cindy, Wade, and Brad if they would or would not eat different foods. We keep score and determine who has the closed-est mind (and mouth) of the group!
Seriously, we name a bunch of foods and determine whether or not we like it. It's glorious, but be warned...you will get hungry.
