Episode 249: Mostly About Deadpool

The 249th episode starts with some typical Chuck and Brad updates, then the guys finally address an email they received in early January. They discuss the film "The Babysitters" and the critical ratings thereof. They also throw in some chatter about the below Web Couliers before diving into some media driplets. The gabbers gab about Daniel Bryan's retirement from WWE, news about a possible Saw 8, and some exciting backward compatibility news about Left 4 Dead 2 and Red Dead Redemption - two faves from the Xbox 360 console.
After that, the Deadpool stuff begins. They talk about the origin of the character in the comics, their first encounters with the Merc with a Mouth, and what storylines of his they've enjoyed through the years. They also give their impressions of the new Deadpool movie and consider other actors that could have played the part of Deadpool.
Then Brad brings in one final email and surprises Chuck.

Episode 248: Spy, Knock Knock, and Joke Stealing

Brad botches the opening of episode 248, then botches it again. Hilarity.

The guys talk about the below Web Coulier and some other trailers they've loved before Chuck delivers a movie driplet about a space comedy starring podcast favorites Seth Rogen, Bill Hader, and Zack Galifianakis. Sounds awesome! Speaking of movies, the guys recently watched a few - the first, last year's "Spy," is a Paul Feig comedy starring Melissa McCarthy. How much did C&B love it? The second, last year's "Knock Knock," is an Eli Roth thriller starring Melissa McCarthy. How much did C&B love THAT? (Less.)
The rest of the episode concerns the recent allegations that Amy Schumer has stolen jokes. Chuck and Brad don't buy it, and talk about why. They also talk about some jokes of their own that have seeped into pop culture, and about the current comedy landscape that is rife for plunder. Comedy plunder.

The 247th episode starts with every listeners' fantasy - Chuck talking about the new sound recording equipment the guys are using! Wow! From there, Chuck provides some movie news about a Nicktoons movie, and the guys take quite a sidetrip into the rabbithole of Nicktoons shows. Once they get back, it's time to talk about this past week's WWE Royal Rumble event. What did the guys like or love or loathe about the show?
The podcast wraps up with a halfhearted spoilery review of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, the final film in the Paranormal Activity series.

Chuck and Gina recently took a trip to New Jersey. How did it go? Where did they eat? Did Chuck do the Stanky Leg? Brad debuts a new segment cursing Chuck for the thoughtful Christmas gift Chuck provided, then the guys talk about Brad's pending court date. Brad gives a health update on his father, then the guys briefly talk about "Making A Murderer" and Netflix streaming in general.
Both C&B have been to some delicious restaurants lately - where were these culinary Shangri-Las? In addition, Chuck and Brad recently went to see Daddy's Home - they review the movie and discuss PG-13 comedies in general.
