Ska fans rejoice! We attended a screening of "Pick It Up: Ska in the 90's" to host a Q&A with Scott Klopfenstein! Yes, the dude from Reel Big Fish and the Littlest Man Band! It gets better! We also had Coolie Ranx from the Pilfers join the Q&A! And we RECORDED that Q&A for you!!!!!! Wow! After I tell Chuck a brief story about a scam I recently pulled (and "scam" may be stretching it), we tell the whole story of how we got involved with the movie/Q&A/show. #422 - Spider-Man: Far From Home, Our Independence Weeks, and Stranger Things 3

Big talk this week! Chuck and I haven't talked to each other in over a week! We talk about weird things that happened today including a call center employee going off on me over the phone! We talk about our shows together in Hartford and East Providence and all the events surrounding them. After that, I regale Chuck with my tale of family time back in Indiana and he tells me about changing traditions out here in Rhode Island. Once we are caught up on our weeks, we discuss Stranger Things season 3 (no spoilers), then give a spoiler-free review of Spider-Man: Far From Home. After a very clear warning, we then launch into a spoiler-full discussion of the film and include everything we liked and didn't like. But most of it is like.

#419 - Chuck Got Scammed, Taste of RI, Bacon and Beer Fest

We are joined this week by our pal Katy Johnson, coming in all the way from Virginia just to hang out with us! We get an update on what she's been up to down there. We talk about the below Web Coulier, then Chuck reveals a very shameful secret: he was recently the victim of an online scam! We discuss what happened and how it happened and what happens next! It is crazy! Once we thoroughly explore that, we talk about our recent trip to the Taste of RI Event and I find I can't remember the names of virtually any of the places we got delicious food from! Chuck talks about Food Truck Friday, then we talk briefly about our (upcoming) appearance on the What Did We Miss? podcast. We discuss our co-hosting of last Sunday's Bacon and Beer Fest through RI Food Fights and how that went, then we plug our upcoming Spider-Man show a few more times.

#418 - Chuck, Brad, and Ray Bond Over Bombing

We are joined this week by comedian and pal Ray Harrington! Chuck and I were tasked to do a comedy show at an outdoor festival - and all the humor was supposed to be pretzel-related (note: "tasked" is probably the wrong word, since we chose to do a gig and chose to make it pretzel-themed). We tell Ray the story of the entire show, complete with sound clips from our actual performance! You can even hear the audience "woo!" at one point. Ray expresses dismay that we didn't bomb more than we did (for the podcast, not as a friend), then relates two stories of him bombing as a stand-up comic and they are BRUTAL. Make our pretzel show look like kid stuff! Anyway, Ray is great and it's always a blast when he stops by.

#417 - Chuck's Pending Glory, Classic Consoles, and NOS4A2

Will Chuck somehow win the Malted Barley World Pretzel Eating Championship this weekend? He seems confident, but I am not so sure. I explain why I pulled out of the contest and Chuck comes up with more reasons he will win. Against competitive eaters from all over the country, mind you. We read some listener emails and then talk about the below Web Coulier. We discuss how Fuller House will handle Lori Loughlin's absence, then talk some more about miniature classic consoles and their worth and purpose. Chuck gets hyped for the Google Stadia announcement (which will have happened by the time this podcast goes up) and I bring him back to earth a little. We talk about Chuck's band Senior Discount playing with the Carousel Kings this past weekend, then close out the show with a discussion of the new AMC show (based on the Joe Hill novel of the same name) NOS4A2. Parts of it were filmed in the town where we live! Wow!
