CHRISTMAS GAMES! We are joined by comedians Ray Harrington and Brian Beaudoin (as well as the honorable Liz Moniz) in a Christmas duel for the ages! The two teams (Brad and Brian versus Chuck and Ray) go head-to-head in different Christmas games live in front of a studio (?) audience! The winners will be named the Kings of Christmas - who ya got?

#445 - The Rodecaster Pro, Brad's Argument Quirks, Indiana, and Knives Out
Do we sound different this week? Because we are recording on a brand-new Rodecaster Pro, graciously sent to us by the fine folks at Rode! Wow! We talk about that and show off some of its cool features for a while. From there, we discuss Chuck's trip to New Jersey to film with the TESD boys. From there, we talk about some of my quirks and habits about arguing and basically argue about arguing in classic Chuck and Brad fashion. Once we cover that fully, I talk about my trip to Indiana and hanging out with my family. Chuck talks about some Christmas parties he's been to recently. We offer a spoiler-free review of the film Knives Out and then, after a clear delineator, we move to a spoiler-free review of this very fun movie!

#444 - "With Ray and Derek" - The Podmas Castacular
We dive into the archives this week, bringing up a blast from the....wait, these weren't our archives. We introduce a long-forgotten episode of the podcast "With Ray and Derek," which features comedians Ray Harrington and Derek Furtado doing a 70's-style Christmas variety show (including an appearance from our pal Brian Beaudoin) from a few Christmases past. We think it's too good NOT to share, so we recorded a wraparound and called it our show! We're like Buzzfeed!

#443 - Pete Holmes, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and Thanksgiving
We are BACK! Just Chuck and I in the studio! Woo! We talk about our upcoming North Pole Podcast Party, then Chuck tells me about his trip to Boston to see Pete Holmes do stand-up. He went directly from there to see a showing of Kevin Smith's new film "Jay and Silent Bob Reboot." We talk about our light gun adventure day, share concerns about Chuck's girlfriend's sister, then move into Thanksgiving movies and TV shows. I make "the worst joke I've ever made" on the podcast, so be on the hunt for that. Also, Chuck sings the praises of Gibi, the company that sent us a GPS Collar for Chuck's pup/my friend Swiss Miss!

#442 - The Story of Nana and Papa
Thanksgiving is a time for family. And what better way to celebrate family than by inviting Chuck's grandparents on the podcast? We learn all about their childhoods in the 1930s, Papa's job during WWII, everything Nana did on the homefront...then we learn about how they met, dated, and their early married life. We get some adorably scandalous stories about Chuck's mom and learn about being a judge in Rhode Island. A very fun conversation and celebration!

#439 - Our Comic-Con with Brian O'Hallaran, the Against Me Discography Shows, The Interrupters In Concert
Chuck and I are back in the studio after a whirlwind few weeks! We start by praising PVDonuts, then go right into a recap of the Against Me discography shows we attended a few weeks back. Which songs sounded the best? Why do we love this band so much? From there, Chuck briefly touches on Halloween before we delve into our RI Comic-Con experience. We talk about the process of performing a "Clerks" show with Brian O'Hallaran and the stresses that went into it. We also include the intro and the post-show Q&A for the show for your listening delight! From there, we talk about the panels we got to moderate including "Kevin" and "Stanley" from The Office, a whole cavalcade of people associated with "The Tick," as well as Christina Ricci. Super fun weekend! And finally, we talk about going to see The Interrupters in concert in Boston this week and what a fun time that was for all involved.

#438 - Halloween 2019
We are joined by Ray Harrington this week, who THOUGHT he was in for a lighthearted discussion about Halloween. But conversations go where conversations go, so it was not exactly what Ray thought it would be. We start with a debriefing of our Halloween Spooktacular Show from last night - what worked and what needed improvement? We then segue into a discussion about Miller's Roast Beef (our sponsor for the show) and somehow roast beef restaurants in general. We then talk about the history of some of our favorite candy bars and THIS is where things REALLY take a turn...all based on the source of the name "Snickers!" We talk about late-stage capitalism and movie titles and movie posters and whoa mama does it get hard to follow! (you can follow it, though, because you're smart!) We briefly discuss my lack of Halloween spirit this year and try to figure out how to remedy that. We then get into what was supposed to be a lighthearted, teasing jab at Chuck about signing a card for Ray and I don't think I came across as lighthearted at all, so I'll apologize here for that. I then present Ray and Chuck with Halloween gifts to end the show.

#437 - The 2019 Turtle Hunt
Every autumn, Chuck and I scour local (and not-so-local) comic and collectible stores to track down our white whales - two of the Universal Movie Monster/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover figures. This is the seventh year we've undertaken the quixotic quest, and the FIRST time we've recorded our chatter in the car DURING the trip! We visit the RI/MA chains The Time Capsule and the Toy Vault, as well as That's Entertainment (Worcester MA), Bargain City Flea (Cumberland RI), Midway Antiques (Johnston RI), and Joff's Backyard Grill (Bellingham MA). We are joined by Lou Perella as we discuss the quest itself, my distaste for grime, our feelings on collectibles and growing up, as well as delicious hot dogs smothered in pulled pork and grated cheese. Chuck and I also bicker about leaving each other's car dirty! Classic banter! Enjoy this very special episode!

#436 - Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, Stephen King and Joe Hill, and Happy Death Day
Live in studio this week is our pal Lou Perella! We talk about the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot showings and Chuck waxes nostalgic about Kevin Smith. After that, we discuss the Stephen King & Joe Hill talk that Chuck and I went to last week, as well as the delicious meals we had surrounding it (and yes, maybe we touch on my shrieking fit at Chuck in the car on the way to the event). Chuck tells me about the movie "Us," and I talk about the (first?) two movies in the Happy Death Day saga. We briefly touch on another movie we recently saw, then gush about the talent on display at the Roger Williams Zoo Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular. Chuck talks about some autumn hikes he's recently taken, then we close with a talk about rooting for artists both personally and professionally.

#435 - Haunt, Haunters, Hate Mail, and the Joker
We are joined this week by Ayden the Intern! That's right, someone let us have an intern despite the fact that our previous intern's body hasn't been seen since he left our employ! We kick things off talking about how great Retroagogo.com is and thank them for the decorations they sent us! We talk about some hateful mail that came into the podcast email account. Following that, we discuss the movie Haunt, and Ayden reveals a shameful secret about his relationship! We talk about our annual jack-o-lantern carving day, then Chuck tells me about the documentary Haunters. We then offer a spoiler-free discussion of Joker, then, after making it very clear when the spoilers start, we dive deep into the movie. Chuck and I disagree and Chuck wins Ayden to his side. #434 - Between Two Ferns, It Chapter 2, and the Rubsam and Horrmann Brewery Launch Party
We are back! We kick things off by recommending a new podcast from our pals - check out The Hoof when you get a chance! We talk about the Between Two Ferns movie currently running on Netflix, then I tell a story about maybe accidentally being present for the filming of what was possibly a fetish video. A quick chat about a recent video game night, then Chuck tells me all about filming the opening of Rubsam and Horrmann brewery, run by Impractical Joker Brian "Q" Quinn. Chuck enchants me with tales of the food at the Cambridge Brewing Company, then we talk about the screening and Q&A for the show Undependent - directed by our pal Ray Harrington, edited by Chuck, starring Ray and another friend Derek...good stuff! We close the show with (first) a spoiler-free discussion of It: Chapter Two. We then make it very clear when the spoilers will begin, and we fully break down the entire movie!

#433 - Haunted Vermont, The Witch, Possessions, and Chuck's Decorating Party
Bad news! Chuck is not feeling well. And rather than subjecting you to his somehow-more-nasal-than-ever voice, we've assembled some autumn/Halloween segments from old episodes into a new package to get you into the season! We hear about Chuck's trip to Vermont and the hunt for the perfect maple latte. I talk about the movie The Witch, and we talk about possessions and exorcisms. And we also chat about Chuck's decorating party from last year
(I just realized Chuck may have done this intentionally so I will be more psyched about his decorating party THIS year. He's devious!)

#432 - Eric Andre, Battle At Big Rock, and Disney Plus
Hello Chu-bies! After we dip into Chuck's Work Woes (part seven in a series of infinity), we somehow get on the topic of Rip Van Winkle - we try (and fail) to remember the story, then try (and fail) to glean meaning from it. Chuck tells me about all the shows and movies coming to Disney Plus this fall and we try (and fail) to remember the plot of the movie "Camp Nowhere." We talk about the Jurassic World short film "Battle At Big Rock" and how it ties into the Jurassic-verse. We discuss the film Eighth Grade and Chuck tells me about a new (to him) restaurant in town. We briefly talk about Chuck's articles on veganism, then he tells me about a cool magazine party he went to. I discuss how I tried (and failed) to get tickets to an event I was super excited about, then tell him all about last week's Providence Improv Fest. We close with Chuck describing the Eric Andre live show he went to over this past weekend - sounded great!

#431 - The Hella Megatour, Embracing the Patriots, and What Cheer Writers' Club Podcast Party
We start out talking about Chuck's newfound appreciation for football, specifically following the New England Patriots (ugh!). From there, we discuss the announcement of the Hella Mega Tour featuring Green Day, Weezer, Fall Out Boy, and the Interrupters.
We talk about our videogame night and SNES games on the Nintendo Switch. Chuck tells me about attending a yard sale and making a pretty outstanding purchase and we discuss my disdain for yard sales in general. We talk about the new restaurant in town, La Pinata (I can't get the accent mark to appear over the n!) and the What Cheer Writers' Club's Podcast Listening Party. We close by talking about how quickly the summer passed and what is coming up for the fall.

#430 - We get In-Depth about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
A unique episode this week! A few weeks ago, we guested on the podcast "Geeking Out With Shades and Sketch" to talk about the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' movies from 1990 and 2014. We had such a good time and shared so much about the Ninja Turtles in general, we asked Shades and Sketch if we could release the conversation as an episode of OUR podcast as well! So this is it! We talk about how history with the turtles, how we felt about the comics, toys, tv shows, and movies, then break down the "original" live-action film as well as the rebooted 2014 version. A super fun talk!
- Brad
Note from Chuck: During this talk on GOWSAS (please call their podcast "Gow-Sass" from now on), I realized I had never really deeply discussed my feelings about the turtles on OUR own podcast, despite ten years and roughly 650 hours of recording. So I KNEW we needed to put this recording into our "canon." Super happy the Gow-Sass gals (please refer to them as the "Gow-Sass gals" from now on) were down for it!

#429 - A Q&A With Dave McWane
We might get some new listeners this week - welcome! We talk briefly about our days/weeks, then Chuck tells me about a new product he bought. I think it's asinine and he tries to convince me otherwise. (I'm not convinced.) After that ridiculousness, we talk about the recent screening of "Pick It Up: Ska In The 90s" in Somerville, MA. We tell the story behind our night, then throw to a Q&A recorded after the screening with Dave McWane from Big D and the Kids Table. He's a smart dude!

WHOA MAMA! We start with Chuck giving me a delicious sweet treat as repayments for ninja turtle-related favors! We offer some Chuck and Brad updates, then read some listener emails and discuss possible names for our listeners. Chuck discusses the TESD video "Comic Book Men: On The Road." Chuck tries to convince me to watch some scary movies for the upcoming Halloween and I am somewhat hesitant. We talk about our poker night, our trip to the new restaurant "Union Burrito" in Riverside, then Chuck tells me about the decadent buffet he experienced at the "Nordic Lodge." We talk about recording a Ninja Turtle podcast with our pals at Geeking Out with Shades and Sketch, then going to our friend's "Meatfest" cookout. We close by talking about the split between Sony and Disney regarding Spider-Man. What will this mean going forward?

#427 - Chips and Salsa Etiquette, Empress Theresa, and Hobbs & Shaw
We start out with Chuck getting vulnerable and talking honestly about some frustrations he has felt lately in his professional life. From there, we move to more positive news, celebrating his new Providence Monthly column. Chuck reveals an argument he had on Reddit about charging people from chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. We discuss The Lion King (2019) becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time. We discuss feature film The Hunt being pulled from theaters. I talk about a book I recently read and how little I enjoyed it. Just a brutal slog through 450 pages. Woof. Chuck talks about some restaurants he recently tried and I get hungry. We then offer a spoiler-free discussion of the new Fast & Furious spin-off "Hobbs and Shaw," then, we make it very clear we're going to spoil things...and then discuss the film in greater depth.

The lovely and talented Gina Mastrostefano joins us this week! We discuss what our fans should be named and can't come up with much. From there, we talk about The Lion King (2019) and live-action storytelling of animated films in general. Chuck tells me all about their weekends in New Jersey and how they made him feel creatively. We talk about what foods are appropriate to bring into a movie theater, then get into the main event. We offer a spoiler-free review of the new Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood. #425 - Brad Gets Ghosted, Chuck's Trash Troubles Redux, and Ray Talks "Undependent"
We are joined this week by comedian/filmmaker/self-proclaimed spiritual guru Ray Harrington! He is ostensibly on to talk about the screening of "Undependent" at the Rhode Island International Film Festival, but first, I have to talk about my dumb social life. Why did this one woman ghosting me bother me so much? From there, we revisit Chuck's Trash Travails, as the social media response to Chuck's addressing of the issue was unexpected. From there, Ray tells us the story of "Undependent" and gives us some cool behind-the scenes info on this very funny project.

#424 - Undependent, Chuck's Trash Troubles, and Brad's Family Visits
Back in the studio/my kitchen this week! Chuck FINALLY reveals the name and nature of the project he worked on with Ray Harrington - a sitcom pilot named Undependent! We talk about its upcoming premiere at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and Chuck talks about how he got involved. Good stuff. Chuck then laments some issues he has had with local trash pickup, and we discuss the role of the trashman in modern society. Very highbrow! After that, we talk about my family's recent visit to the area and I recap all the things we did and all the food we ate!

We also had Coolie Ranx from the Pilfers join the Q&A! And we RECORDED that Q&A for you!!!!!! Wow! After I tell Chuck a brief story about a scam I recently pulled (and "scam" may be stretching it), we tell the whole story of how we got involved with the movie/Q&A/show. We talk about our shows together in Hartford and East Providence and all the events surrounding them. After that, I regale Chuck with my tale of family time back in Indiana and he tells me about changing traditions out here in Rhode Island. Once we are caught up on our weeks, we discuss Stranger Things season 3 (no spoilers), then give a spoiler-free review of Spider-Man: Far From Home. It is crazy! Once we thoroughly explore that, we talk about our recent trip to the Taste of RI Event and I find I can't remember the names of virtually any of the places we got delicious food from! #418 - Chuck, Brad, and Ray Bond Over Bombing
We are joined this week by comedian and pal Ray Harrington! Chuck and I were tasked to do a comedy show at an outdoor festival - and all the humor was supposed to be pretzel-related (note: "tasked" is probably the wrong word, since we chose to do a gig and chose to make it pretzel-themed). We tell Ray the story of the entire show, complete with sound clips from our actual performance! You can even hear the audience "woo!" at one point. Ray expresses dismay that we didn't bomb more than we did (for the podcast, not as a friend), then relates two stories of him bombing as a stand-up comic and they are BRUTAL. Make our pretzel show look like kid stuff! Anyway, Ray is great and it's always a blast when he stops by.

#417 - Chuck's Pending Glory, Classic Consoles, and NOS4A2
Will Chuck somehow win the Malted Barley World Pretzel Eating Championship this weekend? He seems confident, but I am not so sure. I explain why I pulled out of the contest and Chuck comes up with more reasons he will win. Against competitive eaters from all over the country, mind you. We read some listener emails and then talk about the below Web Coulier. We discuss how Fuller House will handle Lori Loughlin's absence, then talk some more about miniature classic consoles and their worth and purpose. Chuck gets hyped for the Google Stadia announcement (which will have happened by the time this podcast goes up) and I bring him back to earth a little. We talk about Chuck's band Senior Discount playing with the Carousel Kings this past weekend, then close out the show with a discussion of the new AMC show (based on the Joe Hill novel of the same name) NOS4A2. Parts of it were filmed in the town where we live! Wow!

We plug some upcoming projects including our appearance at the pretzel eating contest this coming June 8th at PVDFest. We then discuss the Sonic the Hedgehog movie and how it's being pushed back due to audience reaction to the trailer. We're pumped for the Between Two Ferns movie. We hit other movie driplets including the Fast and Furious franchise hiring a female writer. Chuck talks about organizing his basement and how happy that makes him. **This episode has been remastered. The first upload had subpar quality for the ads during the ad swap game, and that has been fixed!**
We are joined this week by Dylan the Intern, which is always a blast. After we plug our upcoming shows, we discuss blockbuster culture and how that affects the future (and present) of cinema. Once we finish up there, we sing the praises of RI Food Fights' Big Burger Blowout. We review the Boundary Brewhouse, The Hungry Goat's Kitchen, and Bucktown. Chuck brags about us finishing the game Rescue Rangers (originally for the NES) this afternoon. Chuck explains the Netflix show "Jailbirds" to me and I am fascinated. We also continue to play the "Ad Swap" game with other podcasts and it remains a ton of fun.

#413 - Serial Killers, Beyond Wrestling, and Straight No Chaser
Just Chuck and I this week! We give some updates about our own comedy lives and Chuck gives us another update on his puppy, Swiss Miss. We answer a listener email (sort of) before Chuck tells me about the Netflix Ted Bundy film (the Zac Efron one). Now I'm interested in it! Chuck confesses his blind spot to serial killers and their stories and I realize I don't know as much as I think I do. Chuck tells me about his trip to see Straight No Chaser to do some acapella. I tell Chuck about my work doing some recording for Beyond Wrestling. After that, Chuck and I play a guessing game with ads for other podcasts and it goes about as well as you'd hope. #412 - Cokie the Clown, Our Comedy Tour Recap, and Avengers: Endgame
Action-packed this week! We are joined by Gina Mastrostefano, Lou Perella, and Abe Correia to discuss a bunch of stuff! We start by recapping our Hartford comedy show from last week and discuss the highs and lows we went through there. After that, we talk about a trip to NYC to see NoFX's lead singer Fat Mike perform a set as his alter-ego Cokie the Clown. How depressing was the set, and how did we feel about it? After that, we talk about the highs and lows of our comedy show in New York, then about the lows and lows of our show in Boston. (Not a typo. Lows AND lows.) After recapping our very busy weekend, we finally discuss our SPOILER-FREE thoughts on Avengers: Endgame. We then make it perfectly clear when we're about to shift into spoiler-full territory and do so, giving our thoughts and feelings on the movie that concludes Marvel's 22-movie "Infinity Saga." Get excited to hear about how much and how often and how hard we cried in the theater!

#411 - Comedy Tour Behind The Scenes, An Improv Wedding, and Easter Brunch
We start with some light mocking of one another before going into updates about future shows. We talk about some behind-the-scenes of our upcoming/ongoing comedy mini-tour and give a shoutout to all the other creatives working on their own projects out there. We talk about the work behind not just booking the shows, but also promoting them - how did we get ads on FORTY-FIVE different podcasts?!?! Chuck gives an update on his puppy, the adorable Swiss Miss. Chuck tells me about filming with documentarian Shaun Colon, then we talk about a sketch show/wedding we attended on Saturday night. Chuck taunts us all with tales of his family's Easter brunch and we talk about our holiday. We remember to include our second sponsor before signing off for the week!

#410 - Will Chuck Have To Get Rid Of His Dog, Mulaney/Davidson Live, and Pet Sematary
Chuck and I talk a lot this week! He begins with a story about his recent spate of allergies, and what that means for his future with his new puppy, the adorable Swiss Miss. Once we go into depth about how many pricks and needles Chuck dealt with, we talk about our recent trip to see John Mulaney and Pete Davidson do stand-up. How good was it? We close with an in-depth discussion of the new Pet Sematary. We offer spoiler-free thoughts first, so anyone who hasn't seen the movie can tune out when those are done (and then tune back in AFTER they see the movie). We then offer a spoiler-full review of the entire movie and learn that I apparently forgot some key scenes from the first film.

#409 - Chuck's Hellacious Wrestlemania Experience, Promposals, and The Trailer for Joker
Abe AND Dylan are with us this week! After we thank a sponsor, Chuck and I read an email and discuss a listener's not-so-great date. We then poke and prod at Dylan's plans regarding whether or not he's going to his high school prom. Chuck gives an update on his puppy and we're all in awe of the pup's cuteness. We talk about the new Joker trailer and Abe has to defend his stance on trailers. Somehow that leads to a discussion of theories about Avengers: Endgame, and we are still psyched. I talk about a mental health night I hosted with my church, then Chuck provides a (physical) health update in regards to allergies and his search for remedies. Chuck then tells us about his personal experience at this year's Wrestlemania, and spoiler alert - leaving the venue was not a great experience. After giving non-wrestling-fans the opportunity to tune out, we break down the whole show and talked about what worked and what didn't.

#408 - Poutine, Chuck's New Addition, and James Gunn's Reinstatement
We are joined this week by Dylan the Intern! He's back, so ladies, please hold onto your underpants!!!
Chuck and I explain poutine to Dylan in relation to the Poutine Indulgence Festival in Woonsocket, RI, from a few weeks ago. Dylan loves to hear about my interactions with strangers. I re-tell my Benny The Bull story, much to Chuck's delight (and Dylan's confusion).
Chuck then breaks down a giant decision in his life and talks about a new addition to his home (not a baby). We talk about James Gunn being reinstated as the director of Guardians of the Galaxy, Volume 3. We close with Chuck explaining the mountains of work that went into his latest video project for Tell 'Em Steve-Dave. - Brad

#407 - The Story of The Time Capsule
This week finds us with local business icon Robert Yeremian! We learn about the history of the comics/collectibles store The Time Capsule, and man oh man, is it ever a doozy. From Rob's days hustling sales from his room in high school out to California and back, every step of the journey was incredibly entertaining for us!

#406 - The Story of Mike Finoia!
We have a great interview this week! Comedian/Writer/Podcaster Mike Finoia sits down with us and talks about his journey. We learn about his background and his decision to enter comedy, and talk about how he joined up with the Impractical Jokers crew. He tells us about writing for Inside Jokes and starting The Amigos podcast. Super fun talk with a super fun dude!

#405 - Talking To Middle Schoolers, Is Chuck A Hero?, and Captain Marvel
In this week's episode, Chuck and I talk about our recent trip to a local middle school to talk about podcasting last week. It was a fun time. In a less-fun turn of events, Chuck witnessed an elderly woman falling and talks about the aftermath.
After a break to, you know...see the movie, your heroes (Chuck and Brad, now with JORDAN FURTADO in tow) come back and offer up a SPOILER-FREE discussion of Captain Marvel. Once our thoughts on the spoiler-free front are suitably explained, we then offer up a spoiler-full review of the movie and talk about how it feeds into the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe.

#404 - Brad's Physics Problem, Equality In Friendships, and The New TESD Videos
We start out this week with a very long tangent about equality in friendship - a subject we continue to try and figure out! I seamlessly tie in a plug for our sponsor, then we work on some listener emails about book recommendations, predatory behavior, hypnotism, and the app Discord. I tell Chuck about an annoying problem I had at church last weekend and he laughs himself sick at my expense. He then tells me about the new Coodle Pillow, as well as a trip to see Kevin James do stand-up at the Comedy Connection in East Providence. Chuck then pulls back the curtain on two new Tell 'Em Steve-Dave videos - Episode 400.1 and Makin' Haystory! Crazy!

#403 - The Story of Shaun Colón
It's an interview! We are joined (via phone) by filmmaker and musician Shaun Colón! We learn about his entire story - childhood musical memories, getting involved in tech, opening a recording studio - all eventually ending up with him directing the documentary "A Fat Wreck!" We talk about the story behind the documentary and some hilarious anecdotes from filming! What did he have to wear to hang out in Fat Mike's pool? Listen and find out!

#402 - Mario Maker 2, Brads Discord Drama, and Glass
I start this week with a cute lil' story about my dad and his struggles with technology. Chuck talks about the assistant-hiring process he is currently developing/going through, then we talk about Gina's new craft beer blog. Chuck talks about his mania for Mario and we speculate about the newly-announced Mario Maker 2. Chuck explains (without spoilers) the documentary "Abducted In Plain Sight," then we talk about Chuck selling his laptop to a non-tech-savvy individual. I explain some weird online drama in the Discord surrounding one of my favorite mobile games and Chuck is gleeful at my discomfort. Chuck tells me about his Valentine's Day dinner at a very fancy restaurant. We then offer a SPOILER-FREE review of the M. Night Shyamalan movie "Glass" and our thoughts about the trilogy. From there, we make it very clear we are going into spoiler territory and discuss a SPOILER-FULL review of the film.

#401 - Hereditary, Chuck's Frustrating Eye Doctor Visit, And A New Look At Titanic
Just Chuck and Brad this week! We talk about The Incredibles 2 and our feelings about other Disney/Pixar movies, then I try and explain my feelings about the decidedly-NON-Disney film "Hereditary." Pretty spooky! From there, we talk a little bit about health concerns before Chuck relates the tale of his terrible trip to the eye doctor (and we discuss the merits of giving fake names to people on the podcast). Chuck tells me about a fancy meal he had this weekend (I didn't mention my frozen pizza dinner, but rest assured that's what I had). He tells me about a trip to the Mystic Aquarium and the restaurant "The Engine Room" in Mystic. From there, we talk about the movie Titanic, and how Chuck felt about it after his most recent re-watch of the film. Oh, and I tell an old embarrassing story about visiting a crush at work. I'm so ashamed.

#399 - Fyre Documentary, Bad Times At The El Royale, and A Star Is Born
This week finds us recording with Gina Mastrostefano and Dylan the Intern! Chuck and I discuss some listener emails about wrestling and The Beatles (separate emails, although I'm pretty sure at least two of the Beatles were intercontinental champs at some point). We talk about our Chipotle party watching the Royal Rumble, Chuck and Gina tell us about his fun trip to New Jersey and NYC and I barely contain my jealousy. After that, we break down some movies! We discuss the (Netflix) documentary about the Fyre Fest, then a spoiler-free review of Bad Times at the El Royale. We follow that with a spoiler-free discussion of A Star Is Born, then make it very clear when we're switching to a spoiler-full review of the film. Film criticism! Woo!

#398 - The Story of Jiggy
We're joined this work by touring comedian Jiggy! We sat down with him to talk about his whole story - when he realized he was funny, how he got into stand-up, and (best of all) how hard he's worked to get where he is! Find a need and fill it! So interesting to hear about how he's hustled and promoted his own shows and moved forward.
We also introduce our new intern "Dylan the Intern" in the intro of this episode, as well as start our new outro tradition! We have partnered with the excellent Paper + Plastick Records and will bring you a song from P+P to close each episode going forward! This week is Devon Kay and the Solutions with "Fresh!"

#397 - Into The Spider-Verse, The Big Short, and Brad's Awkward Date
Just us this week! We start out by talking about the new headset microphones we used on some recent episodes - did you notice a difference? After that, we (finally) break down the recent movie "Into The Spider-Verse" and wax enthusiastic about it. We discuss a local restaurant, then talk about the movie The Big Short. Chuck tells me about the Beatles' movie Help!, then we recap our experience emceeing the 7th Annual RI Food Fights Spectacular Cookie Smackdown! We talk a little bit about my Twitter account and the rules I have set up for my life, then talk about an awkward date I recently had.
